Four Texas A&M faculty members, from the Departments of Biology and Biophysics, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, and Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, gave papers at the Third International Conference on Urban Biology (impact of humans on the environment), held at NiltonLins University in Manaus, Brazil in November. The costs of their participation were paid by the Brazilian hosts with support from the Brazilian national foundation CAPES. Our participation in this event was an outcome of the visit to College Station by Dr. Sergio Nozawa of NiltonLins University in July of this year, organized and hosted by the Office for Latin American Programs.
