- Released on Sep 02, 2008

The Institute for Pacific Asia takes this opportunity to wish all our Vietnamese Students and alumni a heartfelt 63rd anniversary of Vietnam's Independence Day. We are proud of our Vietnamese Students and hope Texas A&M University will remain the best destination for Vietnamese International students in the years to come. Ho Chi Minh declared independence on 2 September, 1945, the same day that Japan formally surrendered in World War II. The declaration ended 80 years of French and then Japanese colonial rule Please do keep in touch with us and let us know what is happening with Aggies in Vietnam! You might be pleased to know that a recent Forbes magazine survey rated an Aggie degree among the most valuable degrees in the world.
