Assessment

While colleges and departments are primarily responsible for assessing student learning outcomes, the Office of Institutional Assessment at Texas A&M also assesses the following Undergraduate Learning Outcome at the University level.

Demonstrate social, cultural, and global competence, including the ability to:

  • Live and work effectively in a diverse and global society
  • Articulate the value of a diverse and global perspective
  • Recognize diverse economic, political, cultural and religious opinions and practices

Evidence of University-level achievement of this learning outcome is documented in several ways.

There are a variety of
resources available to faculty members related to assessment of global learning.

In Summer 2012 a Vision 2020 peer survey was conducted to determine how certain peers assessed international education. The results of this and other surveys are available
